Boy, was I wrong
Season 2 had me almost having a heart attack in the last few minutes of season 2. I don't know if my heart can handle a season 3. I initially thought this was a low-key, slow-burn political drama. Maybe another kind of "feel good" TV drama like Madame Secretary.
Watch them like a starving animal
The Diplomat will have you on the edge of your seat every episode. This is political theater at its finest. It's even cut-throat than my wildest dreams. And, even though it's only a tenth of what really happens in US politics and the various agencies (CIA, Secret Service, Diplomacy), it's still a wild ride.
Keri Russell is back in a strong female lead role, which reminded me why I loved her performance in "The Americans" so much; She's exceptional!
