Scenario

It follows Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, and her relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. The second part of a two-part feature film adaptation of the Broadway musical. Wicked was first announced in April 2022 that it would be split into two films, with composer Stephen Schwartz explaining, "The truth is, we've been trying to make it for a while. The movie (which) had to cut or leave out things that we wanted to include and that we thought fans of the show and the story would appreciate." He added, "It was very difficult for us to get through 'Defying Gravity' without a break. That song was written specifically to bring the curtain down, and any scene that followed without a break felt very anticlimactic.
