Scenario

A modern story about the search for wealth in the world of West Texas oil rigs. A landman, at least someone who works in the oil industry, will act as an intermediary between geological exploration companies and landowners. Usually, the landowner's job is to negotiate and conclude contracts with landowners who have the right to extract minerals, to lease these rights to the company they represent.

In essence, they manage the land and enter into leases in order to be able to extract oil and gas. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, living quarters for workers (villages), supervise the assembly of earthmoving equipment and the drilling of the well itself, especially in remote areas. They are also part of the troubleshooting, problem solving and mediation team.

I like the show and everything Taylor Sheridan does, but where was the technical consultant? In the incident with the pumping station, Billy Bob even holds the pipe wrench incorrectly. No one on the set knows what to advise him on such an elementary question.

And a real team with the appropriate equipment and skills will work at the scene of the accident. Like a 36" pipe wrench that a few guys could pull out of the trunk. No one will hit a short pipe wrench with a hammer.

Heck, calibrate a 2-foot pipe to extend the arm if that's all it takes. Working in such places, the show is far from the safety measures used in the industry, which is absurd according to OSHA. Nobody will stand on a truck loaded with pipes, and nobody without a seat belt.
