It follows three very different families who compete to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they believe will solve all their problems. Dennis Leary and Ray Romano appeared in the Ice Age franchise (from 2002 to present). I was surprised to see the show rated so low, but it made more sense after seeing many reviews explaining why they didn’t make it past the first episode. The show is a slow-burn mystery game that may not be for everyone. I personally found it too fun and entertaining with a certain Lisa Feldman tone that I like. I really like the cast and everyone’s acting. I wasn’t initially sold on Ray Romano due to my prejudices (I couldn’t for the life of me separate it from Everybody Loves Raymond), but that faded away pretty quickly. All the different characters have their own subplots, creating a tangled web of chaos that gradually, if not completely, unravels. By the last episode, I was pretty much engrossed in the story, despite having the main plot figured out from the start. I'm not mad about it, though. I'd love to see more of this show, and I really hope they get a second season.
