The Certificate Courses can be taken individually or as a group.        

The Certificate Courses are designed for persons with little or no working experience in a trade association community.       ·        

• For those with less than 2 to 4 years working experience in trade associations      
• For the newly employed managers, newly promoted or newly elected professionals into
  leadership positions in a trade association who want to apply a more organized approach to help achieve success in their organizations.
• For Artisans in diverse trades and operators in the informal sector. Professionals,
  Managers, and Operators in the formal sectors that desire competence in trade
  association leadership.      ·        
• Those applying must have passed the West Africa Senior School Certificate Exam (SSCE,
  GCE), or Junior School Certificate (JSS), or hold a trade test certificate I,
  II, and III issued by the Federal Ministry of Trade, Labor and Productivity.       ·        
• Those holding Diploma certificates, and other higher certificates are eligible to
  apply also.
• All category of candidate is expected to make a non-refundable payment of N10,000 covering application for membership N5,000 and registration  N5,000 to the Institute of Trade Association Management Ltd/Gte.

And enjoy the benefits therein after due process and approval.

Students / Members of stage one to stage four categories attract student membership fee of N5,000.00 annually.

 Stages/Coverage

       1.     Single Certificate Courses associated with Trade Association Leadership

• Fee Per Certificate Course is N10,000.00
• Candidate is expected to complete at least a single course under
  the Trade Association Executive category.

       2.     Technical Certificate in Trade Association Leadership (TCAL)

• Candidate are expected to Cover 5 Courses in order to qualify for this certification.
• Course fee is N50,000.00
• Course fee is N40,000 for those that has completed the single course

3.      Diploma Certificate in Association Management (DCAM)

• Upon completion of 3 additional courses totaling 8 single courses, elective course inclusive, participants shall receive a Diploma Certificate in Association Management (DCAM).
• Course fee is N30,000 for those proceeding from stage
• Course fee is N80,000 for those talking up a straight programme

4.         Professional Diploma in Association Management (PDAM)

• Upon completion of 4 additional courses totaling 12 single courses, elective course inclusive, participants shall receive a Professional Diploma in Association Management (PDAM)
• Course fee is N40,000 for those proceeding from stage 3
• Course fee is N120,000 for those talking up a straight programme

5. Graduate Diploma in Association Management (GTAM) and Associate membership of the Institute of Trade Association Management (ATAM)

• Upon completion of 5 single courses on this stage, where after successful, participants shall be admitted into the Associate membership and receive an Associate Certification in Trade
  Association Management (ATAM). 
• Course fee is N50,000 for those proceeding from stage 4
• Course fee is N150,000 for those talking up a straight programme
• Associate membership grade attracts an annual membership fee of N15,000 which become due after every 12months calendar year.

6.   Certified Trade Association Manager (CTAM) Proceeding for induction programme to the Associate of Trade Association Management (ATAM).

• Those holding the Associate grade in Trade Association Management (ATAM) are eligible to apply for the fellowship grade of the Institute of Trade Association Management (FTAM).
• And Attend Mandatory Annual Orientation Programs (MAOP)
• Annual Membership fee for Fellowship grade is N20,000
• Course fee is N100,000 for those proceeding from stage 5
• Other Consideration
  • For members holding a first degree, HND or a Postgraduate diploma or Masters certificates from a recognized institution in any discipline, or executive certificates from other professional bodies or institutes with  good track records  in addition to
    8 years working experience and above in a Trade Association environment or industry, but does not hold the Associate membership grade, such member shall be required to attend our Mandatory Annual Orientation Programs (MAOP) for orientation and assessment for admittance into the Fellowship grade of the Institute of  Trade Association Management (FITAM).
  • Submission of list of articles, books and publication, available online links and citation are also required.
• Course fee is N280,000 for those talking up a straight programme

Award – What Both Participants Gets on Completion

1. Certified Trade Association Manager (CTAM)
2. Associate of Trade Associations Management (ATAM)
3. Proceed to the Fellowship grade of Trade Associations Management (FTAM)
4. Members in the Fellowship grade is required to make payment covering annual membership fees of N20,000 which become due after every 12months calendar year.

       7.     Doctoral Certificate in Trade Associations Management (Honorary Award))

Ø Applicant must have been a Fellow Member of the Institute;

Ø And have contributed significantly to the development of trade associations or other non-profit- organizations, having occupied a senior managerial position; coupled with proven reputation; letter of attestation obtained from member of the council of the institute; defend dissertation before the Assessment Committee. Such applicant must have acquired over 15 years working experience with high professional standing in the academic or a business world.

Ø Candidates holding a master degree with PhD in other discipline with academic research and publications in either Industrial Relations, Public Relations, Pure-sciences and Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management, Law, Sustainable Development, Personnel Management, Learning and Development, Knowledge Management, Human Resource, and management consulting etc. can also apply.

General Guidance

Each course will take 2-4 hours to complete. Followed by a completion of an assignment and assessment.  The certificate program can also be taken online through a specified digital platform on regular basis. The link shall be provided on request and upon confirmation of registration.
